Advice Needed

OK, so I found out yesterday that I do indeed have a fracture in my foot. I found out today that I get to have surgery...on New Year's Eve. Happy flippin' New Year's.

I will then be on the road to recovery for about 3 months. So, my question is this...how am I not going to gain weight? I will not be able to continue my 4 days/week walking regimen until I'm healed, so what can I do? I need something that does not bear any weight on my foot. Any suggestions?

I returned my Danskos. I told the fellow that I sprained my right ankle wearing them and then I broke my left foot wearing them. I told him I never wanted to see the shoes again in my life. I got my full refund.

Now we need to contact the city to see about filling the hole in the street in front of our house.

I'm having a hard time being jolly right now. I'm not really a Grinch, more just lacking excitement and energy to make this the most wonderful time of the year.

How about the show "Sit and be Fit"? Hee hee...I don't know if it's even on anymore, but the show was centered around this lady sitting on a chair the entire time doing exercises...have you seen it? Could be just the thing for you!

So sorry to hear that you need surgery. That just stinks.

Depending on your break and the length of the cast, what about stationary bike?

That just SUCKS about surgery/3 mo recovery! I'll keep thinking about the fitness question...
