Another Mother's Day has come and gone. I like Mother's Day because as Becca put it, it's like having a birthday without getting any older. Scott, who is THE one to make sure my Mother's Day is extra full of spoiling was out of town. 5 dads and 5 kindergartners went to a cabin in the mountains on a river. They had an amazing time, so that was worth Scott and Thomas' absence. Nathan, completely on his own accord, stepped up to take care of me. He brought me cereal and juice in bed, got Drew out of bed for me, and made breakfast for the two of them. So sweet. We then went for a bike ride in the rain. I love being a mom.
Before Thomas went out of town on Saturday, he gave me his card he made at school. It went like this:
MY MOTHER
My mother's name is Natasha.
My mother is 37 years old.
My mother's favorite color is blue.
My mother's favorite sport is football.
My mother's favorite food is salad.
My mother is good at laundry.
My mother likes it when I read books.
I love it when my mother lets me ride my bike.
My mother and I like to go to the store.
My mother is great because she lets me go outside whenever I want.
Happy Mother's Day, Thomas.
So sweet and endearing...but I need to be good at something other than laundry!
